Bridges is a thriving independent school that prepares every student to graduate high school and be community ready. At Bridges, every student and adult is recognized for their strengths, challenged to do better and supported to succeed.
School Improvement Goals
Organized around collaborative work and mutual accountability, our strategic plan provides direction to strengthen the school, and offer the best possible educational opportunity for students. Bridges improvement goals are anchored in preparing all students for success in High School and beyond:
- Every student has access to a rigorous education, measured by programmatic access and participation data, including individualized learning profiles for each student, high school transition support plans, and advanced coursework when appropriate.
- Every student is on track for high school success, measured by key achievement milestones. Individualized high school transition plans for 8th grade students include goals in reading, language, mathematics, and science, and high school readiness.
- Every member of the school community experiences a positive school climate, as measured by parent, student, and staff survey data.
All school decisions are student-centered and skills focused. We are committed to ensuring that every action we take helps bring our vision of student success to life.
Our 2019-2021 strategic and 12-month implementation plans provide direction to strengthen the school in order to offer the best possible educational opportunity for students and families in Portland and surrounding areas.
